Western Stampede Royalty Contest


The Western Stampede Royalty serve as ambassadors for the rodeo and participate in other rodeos and parades to promote the Western Stampede. Applications will be available soon for the Western Stampede Royalty Contest.

Contestants compete for a $1,000 scholarship and prizes including a saddle, tiara, breast collar, banner, belt buckle, and the opportunity to represent the Western Stampede, a West Jordan tradition since 1954.

2025 Royalty Winners


Miriam Brophy Queen, Sarah Sirrine 1st Attendant, Alexis Walker 2nd Attendant crowned your 2025 Western Stampede Royalty!

Miriam Brophy

Rodeo Queen

Miriam Brophy is the daughter of Dan and Esther Brophy and the second oldest in her family. She found her love for horses and rodeo at a young age, which led her to get involved in FFA and 4-H during high school. In college, she joined the Snow College Rodeo Team, competing as a barrel racer for three years. Miriam is majoring in pre-vet and will be attending Utah State University this fall. For the past two years, she’s been part of the Rodeo Houston Pivot Team, proudly riding the legendary black Cervi horses in Texas.

Sarah Sirrine

1st Attendant

Sarah Sirrine is a senior and the 2025 Science Sterling Scholar at Riverton High School. Admitted into Brigham Young University, she plans to attend school in the fall and work towards nursing school and eventually becoming a licensed Nurse Practitioner. She has been involved in the 4H horse program her whole life, achieving titles such as 1st overall at the Western Individual State 4H horse show four separate years and 2nd place in Horse Judging at the Western National Roundup.

Alexis Walker

2nd Attendant

Lexi Walker is proud to call Lindon City her home. For all 20 years of her life she has loved horses, and she has loved representing Lindon City’s “little bit of country” as part of the 2022 and 2023 Rodeo Royalty, and Strawberry Days “heart of pleasant grove” as their 2nd attendant in 2024. Lexi loves training young horses, especially to be ready for shows and rodeos. Her favorite events to compete in are barrel racing, western pleasure, pole bending, and horsemanship.
